In this hands-on workshop we will guide you through all the steps necessary to create a 3d-printed model of a mandible or an orbit to aid in surgical reconstruction. You will learn to derive 3d-model from a CT-scan and prepare them for printing. With the use of free software and low cost 3d printer you will be able to start your own 3d lab for less than 1000 euros.
In this workshop the participants will low cast. Further, the advantages and disadvantages of these implants will be discussed.

The ADT Foundation was created to connect, educate and inspire all disciplines involved in developing the use of innovative digital technologies in reconstruction of the head and neck. Originally founded in Canada, July 14, 2010, the ADT Foundation has become a global platform for organising conferences, workshops and other forms of education focussed on the development, application and future of head and neck reconstruction using technology.

The 2023 conference will be hosted by Tymour (Tim) Forouzanfar (Maxillofacial / Head and Neck oncological surgeon and Founder of the 3D-Innovation Lab and Cell-technologies Lab for Stem cell Research) at the Dept. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at LUMC, Leiden, The Netherlands and Angela Ridwan (Head of Dept. Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. Special Care Dentistry) at Amsterdam UMC location VUmc, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They are supported by the ADT Board and local organising committee.
